The Gothic Queen

Summertale, take your leave
Winter, make bow before your turn
These Autumnal eyes weave
That fire held deep but now shall burn

Time will haunt, sable gowns reclaim
Blood red horizons will kiss the skies
Trees will weep tears, as drops of flame
Witches will dance and rapt throne shall rise

Bard and Muse rendering
The lakes will chill and as the breeze
Your body whelms, trembling
Aria speaks - now, to your knees

Haunt will harvest shadows waking
Apples will rot but hot spice will thrive
Dark pleasures are for the taking
Vampires will hunt, reign shall come alive

Sunny days fled, not to look back
Those unfaithful roses thorned some fools
Gilded irony, edge of black
Whose loyal scepter shall blaze and rules

Spirit Night

Far and wide, on the other side
- when evening touches thinnest veil
Bring light, through darkness, be our guide
All Souls and Hunter's Moon wing spell

Ancestors, teachers, seekers ... stroll
Cold skies and our windows lay bare
Owls, wolves, creatures ... away the toll
Here,... awaits your altar and lair

These hours honour and dedicate
Though, you're remembered more than brief
Time can't measure treasure, full spate
We welcome with sacred belief

Wisdom, come burn,... and 'merry meet'
Let not 'merry part' bow too quick
Chalices rim, sugar is sweet
'Til candles glow prim ... to last wick

Ankh (A Vampire's Dream)

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Nightfall, my home
Day be the spade
Sunrise, sunset
To evening shade
As the crow flies
Black as his breast
'Neath is heartbeat
Mine cannot nest

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Life blood, light dreams
Shan't meet or save
This empty soul
Immortal, grave
Yet, sharing hush
Glint gathering
Undamned and free
As the crow's wing

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

I will search for you, my love

My course is straight
As the crow flies
I will search for you, my love

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Samhain Night

At last I see you
You see me
Though end of us came to be
Separated by two paths
We follow
As the bewitching hollow of the deep woods rustle
- Autumn leaves crackling, tumbling
Farther and farther (apart)
Samhain Night, and only a veil of souls fall between

Tree limbs cascade hands
Outstretched cling
Their bony, mangled arms swing
Tangled branches dance, descend
For to cloak
As chimney smoke floats across the scarecrow and haystacks
Jackal eyes gaze and flicker
Watching, waiting, debating
When, what way, how to haunt you
Burning through with memory

At last I see you
You see me
Though end of us came to be
Samhain Night, and only a veil of souls fall between

Jackal eyes gaze and flicker
Eerie candle wicks whisper
Once there was a brighter side
Love is pain,... a pitch heart bide
Samhain Night, and so I bring thee dwell of darkly dreams
Samhain Night, and only a veil of souls fall between

Lycanthrope

The intruder's coming
Carnivore, I'm learning
Muscles and nerves drumming
Edgy, speeding, burning
Turning
Turning

Feed,... feast 'til ache is quenched
Hunger's all that matters
Distorted fix is clenched
Jaws, fangs, claws, pangs shatter
Splatter
Splatter

Fallen eyes lock lone reflection
Something of stunning connection
To recognize the familiar
And stranger, in me, is living
Will the sunrise be forgiving?
Forgive
Forgive
(forgive me,... beast I see)

There is no mask to fake
No Autumn trick or treat
When nemesis finds wake
And full moon throws white heat
Must eat
Must eat
(until the hunger's fed)
(blood-red, blood-red, blood-red)

Fallen eyes lock lone reflection
Something of stunning connection
To recognize the familiar
And stranger, in me, is living
Will the sunrise be forgiving?
Forgive
Forgive
(forgive me,... beast I see)

... Forgive me

Lovecrafter

First impressions, I've heard, can overwhelm
Never felt it but now I understand
Lovecrafter, Spellcaster, come craft my love
It's yours, I'm yours, in the palm of your hand

Court me with hyacinth, gothic romance
Just like 'Morrison' said,... "love me twofold"
By the way, you look amazing in black
You are a thing of beauty to behold

I've always had a darker side
Give me Halloween and some 'Poe'
It might be your 'Raven' tattoo
But I want you,... wrapped in a (black) bow

I would put you, up on a pedestal
You've taken 'Dracula' out of my sight
I'm harmless as a newborn (wolf) baby
I might nibble your neck ... but I won't bite

We can have a chalice, filled with fire
We can share an absinthe hearth and dance floor
A night owl keeps asking me heartbreak's name
With your wink,... Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"

I've always had a darker side
Give me Halloween and some 'Poe'
It might be your 'Raven' tattoo
But I want you,... wrapped in a (black) bow

Lovecrafter, Spellcaster
Dreamweaver, Soulstealer

Datura

Your heart, your dreams ... (lamb), you give so willing
Your book of shadows and darkly quill did wing invite
Grimoire scribe sought a dark lover, thrilling
- Chilling disenchantment away,... (Mistress of the night)

Starry eyes are watching, moonblood drips slow
Wolf song strikes furious to a witches' brew (lament)
And her black gown turns the corner chateau
Was she really there, where petals cradle nightwish scent?

Pale moonflower, as alabaster stone
You've long hallucinated her deadly desire
Intoxicated (never be alone)
Crepuscule muse,... and vespertine presence can inspire

Your heart, your dreams ... (lamb), you give so willing
Your book of shadows and darkly quill did wing invite
Grimoire scribe sought a dark lover, thrilling
- Chilling disenchantment away,... (Mistress of the night)

She's narcotic nightwish, moondust Mistress
(lamb), taste evening fragrance with her kiss
(lamb), taste evening fragrance with her kiss

Side note -
Datura 'Evening Fragrance'; vespertine flowering plant, known
As Angel's Trumpets, also sometimes called Moonflowers.
The (datura) white flowers bloom at night, unfurl slowly
And resemble the moon.
They have an intoxicating, narcotic (perfume) scent.
Datura belongs to the classic "witches' weeds," along with
Deadly Nightshade, Henbane and Mandrake.
Datura has been used as a poison and hallucinogen.
- An essential ingredient of love potions and witches' brews

Autumn Bride

Rustic bursts of amber, sandalwood and clove
Pass over the cottage threshold from the grove
Victorian damask gently floats, October kissed

Rainy-night, sweet water replaces the sun
Cherry, nutmeg, smoky myrrh and cinnamon
Blend candy apple and pumpkin spice, candlelight twist

Gothic, canopy bed, draped vintage blossom
Dazzles the dreamy-eyed, ballad-bliss Autumn
Crackling thunder and fire greet blush, champagne chill

Ardent scarlet, saffron and gold kindle bide
Black forest cake, ginger cream and sugar bride
Charm the groom and warm the room with love's, toasty, fine fill

Halloween

More than a knee-jerk reaction
More than a dimpled attraction

(Come to me) ... she's not right for you
Pretty, Summer tart seems brittle
Maybe an overdose of sheen
Welcome to darkness
Come and lose your soul, fall in love with Halloween

More than just a growl in the breeze
(I am) ... more than fiery tease

(Come to me) ... she's not right for you
Do you crush for Princess Sunshine
Or do you crave Witching Hour's Queen?
Welcome to darkness
Come and lose your soul, fall in love with Halloween

There's a reason why ghostly season is clever
Nothing here can die and I'll haunt you forever
Welcome to darkness
Come and lose your soul, fall in love with Halloween

(your) Trembling fingertips, crimson black ribbons
(my) Bloody-kiss lips, (Sweetness), you are forgiven
For turning-on to the ideal,... buzzkill maker
No one could be faker, she's so not right for you
Her fleeting brush aims fickle play
But my hooks tickle every day

Come to me, close, so close, so close
A razor couldn't slip between
Welcome to darkness
Come and lose your soul, fall in love with Halloween

Aria In Green

Green light, green dreams come to rock me to sleep
Your memory comforts me, ease me deep
Such brightness can never really be gone
Haunting bass and baritone echoes on

Release what's inside, I know you were right
I can still hear your voice in the night
Sending .... "Laugh, cry, challenge reality."
Oh, the green man brings luminosity

Be an open book, I know you were right
I can still feel your presence in the night
Suspended in dusk, touch of Halloween
Oh, rocking mist come aria in green

A thousand candles, a thousand windows
Green dreams come swaying and the green light glows
Lyrical flickering reflects to fly
Softly ... a tall, winged shadow passes by

The Ghosts and Autumn Tambourine

Perhaps travelers all in at twilight
Searching for leaves and bed to rest a dream
So I thought, as October's playful child
And I crept the fortress of their lit scene
Flickering candlelight and tambourine

All souls gathered round a high bonfire
They offered flowers kin the May month green
For the cool mist of the changing season
Left the briar thick but the garden lean
Petals showered down from the tambourine

Coven choir sang with arousing voices
For to the depth and all the woods between
I was so captured with rustic beauty
Nearly forgetting the eve, Halloween
A haunting sound fell from the tambourine

Dusky dance and images illusion
Filled my mind but was loving gift to glean
Starry candles illuminated peace
All Hallows stirred shadows, casting forth serene
Chanting, chanting the world and blessed be

Haunting Promise

There, among the ginger, Autumn leaves
Where in cinder hues dance eerie eves
With crisp edges shadow gliding rush
Blown to your door and scattering crush
Know ... I am but a whisper away

There, amid the late, October rain
Where chill billows mist to window stain
With some formation memory holds
Inscribed reach through your slit curtain folds
Know ... I am but a whisper away

You are not mad, who dream when awake
The witching hour makes no mistake
There, as the tall clock chimes thirteenth bell
You will find the haunt that promised dwell

There, within the hazing before dawn
Where to morning envies ghostly swan
With cast drifting between gleam and gloom
You will not be alone in your room
Know ... I am but a whisper away
