Bottle of Sun

There's a gun to my heart, held by your love
I'm frozen as Winter
And if the shot rings I know my dreams will shatter
Like icicles breaking, out to the beyond
All will be gone ... if you turn me away
Close to you is where I must stay

Around the corner
Down the street
Outside your house
And at your feet
I'll always be near

Within the silence
Under your bed
Above the noise
Inside your head
I'll always be here

Life doesn't make sense but why can't we?
My blood runs cold and I need your light
My world is night
A dark existence
Nothing eases this pain but to see your face
(when you smile)
I'm beguiled
And don't want this feeling to leave

Am I wrong, to say you're mine?
(in my mind, you are mine)
Maybe your answer is something I shouldn't know
Then our bond will never let go
Behind this wall of ice
I see the warmth of your eyes
Like a bottle of sun
And I won't share you with anyone

Around the corner
Down the street
Outside your house
And at your feet
I'll always be near

Within the silence
Under your bed
Above the noise
Inside your head
I'll always be here

Sanguine

Come and dance with me, slowly
With haunting, love songs that collide
Our embrace, like hot elixir
Quenching bond, we both feel inside

(I want to drink of your soul)

Everything I am - is yours
You're my world, you make it sublime
I belong to you, entirely
And you'll belong to me ... in time

(I want to drink of your soul)

Who cares about others or how they might perceive us to be
Their vanilla lust often crumbles to dust
They'll never know the taste of a touch for dark lovers, as we

Let me be the love you've not had
And only the night sky be clad
(by the shimmering depth of your eyes)

Pair with me, sleeping fantasies
Trust with me, tranquil mysteries
(We'll be dream weavers, fevers shall rise)

Come, fill this fierce trembling and thirst that sends me out of control
My love, how I want to stay wrapped in you and drink of your soul
(to infinity)

(infinity)

Crimson Kiss

Scent of nervousness
Sensing I'm threat ... to your inhibitions
I know tenderness
Or is your mind set on superstitions?

Light's far to the East
The bright moon can illuminate instead
Here, there is no beast
Only the fears you dance with, in your head

Your skin has a taste ... like blood
Honeyed on the lips ... like love
Just a brush
Sweetness, hush
Let me calm your heart
Don't worry
There is no hurry
Nothing eases panged flurry
- like a crimson kiss

Give yourself, willing
My mate, beloved,... tell me we're alright
Go with pulse-spilling
And I'll take you each and every night

Your skin has a taste ... like blood
Honeyed on the lips ... like love
Just a brush
Sweetness, hush
Let me calm your heart
Don't worry
There is no hurry
Nothing eases panged flurry
Nothing eases fanged fury
- like a crimson kiss

(the dark has much beauty,... share it with me)
(the dark has much beauty,... share it with me)

Blood Dance

Fire, storm,... I feel it in my bones
Blood dance, awakened, rhythmic tones
And I don't want to be alone
And I don't want to be alone

Hunt moves fierce, as a wolverine
Eyes like the Jack-O, Halloween
Watching, stalking among the crowd
Hot-brooding, nearing, thundercloud

Oh, familiar, intimate vibe
Fevered, eager, ravenous tribe
Fire, storm,... I feel it, in my bones
Blood dance, pulsating music groans
And I don't want to be alone
And I don't want to be alone

Give me love ... or Baby, dreams become death
Hold me, red nectar kiss, take my darkness
Forsake the rest,... please come, make me forget
This harrowing kept, pain of loneliness

And I don't want to be alone
And I don't want to be alone
Blood dance, attraction - your touch owns
Fire, storm,... I feel it in my bones

And I don't want to be alone
And I don't want to be alone

Midnight in Bordeaux

Burgundy once met with an airy, lavender eve.
Iris petals and balloons, floated an Autumn breeze.
Scarlet oak and sycamore lined sleepy, shady paths.
Ticket booths warm-welcomed crowds buzzing like honeybees,
Carnival enraptured, captured to please.
Sugar rimmed glasses, cherry jubilees.

Overarch were old posters, snapping, waving us in.
A magic man drew his wand like a sword wielding knight.
'Peek unique!', hollered out, 'There's a freakshow on the left, -
For a token, peep the showgirl, burlesque on the right, -
Step right up,... the funhouse mirrors ... won't bite!'
But height was fright, crept from a stranger's sight.

'Round I raced, footsteps chased, following my every move.
Past the corner, popgun shout, 'Win a prize!', I did go.
His painted mask led terror to imagination.
I thought,... this stranger, gone watching, stalking me,... I know.
Wicked comes sure, as crisp, maroon leaves blow.
And Fall is eerie, Midnight in Bordeaux.

'Don't be afraid, hear your fortune!', beckoned a mystic.
'Gypsy', said I, 'tell my tarot, gaze the crystal through!'
Frankincense burned, a black cat purred as the lady hissed,
'You won't meet a stranger,... But a stranger will meet you -
Onyx eyes ... with fire in the blood, anew -
Tale, legend, fable,... but it all ... be true!'

Every good thing must come to an end, 'tis honest phrase -
Tents billowed as wings, while cotton candy swirled to slack.
Ferris wheel lights went out, slowly one by one, 'til pitch,
And carousel, wild horses ran free of their track.
I saw visions that can't be taken back.
As still, chill gazed ... the stranger's eyes of black.

Always, I had wondered, what lasts beyond day's bright stay, -
Is anything immortal, when life unfolds to dust?
Such unknown, dark delights were only ever riddle.
But the unnamed gave answer mid season shades of rust.
And to this stranger's side pulled starry lust.
He magnetized me, easily to trust.

Under an alabaster moon, I sighed, 'I am home.'
The stranger's eyes rolled over red, when fed crimson kiss.
And then, whose whisper kindled my heartbeat with cradle, -
'Betray and farewells be pain you won't miss,-
Though once were tears, think not of the abyss; -
'Strigoi are kindred, born to endless bliss.'

Xiphoid, twin touch siphoned Summer unto its death.
Long after pitiful decay, some will thrive from sieve.
We're carnival monsters, nosferatu, shadow-dreams,
Time is the love, though kill know spill paired by sharpened shiv.
Bond is the blood,... this world has much to give.
Now, I with him,...each victim screams, 'They live!'

~ About going to an Autumn carnival,
meeting a vampire and becoming one.
I wanted to do something a little different
with this poem.
The first letter of each stanza (top to bottom)
spells the word: B.O.R.D.E.A.U.X.

Gemini Night

Love the night, hate the night
Bite my lip, sting and feeling so right
Pierce, warm and elusive
It's temperamental blade
Baby, it cuts both ways

Extreme good, extreme bad
Wind me up, keep me high, black-steel-clad
Time's a double-edged sword
Blood and tears, hot and cold
Baby, let slow graze stroll

Evocative, little secrets scoff
Their potion-like pressures set you off
Forget guilt, get lost and seize that hilt
Dual, inhibitions flow
Make a minx, take a doe

Tomorrow you can forgive yourself
Pleasure and pain surrenders from stealth
Alter-ego, spirited Gemini
How both sides, each deny
How both sides, each deny

Ankh (A Vampire's Dream)

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Nightfall, my home
Day be the spade
Sunrise, sunset
To evening shade
As the crow flies
Black as his breast
'Neath is heartbeat
Mine cannot nest

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Life blood, light dreams
Shan't meet or save
This empty soul
Immortal, grave
Yet, sharing hush
Glint gathering
Undamned and free
As the crow's wing

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

I will search for you, my love

My course is straight
As the crow flies
I will search for you, my love

Oceans of time
Everlasting
(oceans of time)

Lovecrafter

First impressions, I've heard, can overwhelm
Never felt it but now I understand
Lovecrafter, Spellcaster, come craft my love
It's yours, I'm yours, in the palm of your hand

Court me with hyacinth, gothic romance
Just like 'Morrison' said,... "love me twofold"
By the way, you look amazing in black
You are a thing of beauty to behold

I've always had a darker side
Give me Halloween and some 'Poe'
It might be your 'Raven' tattoo
But I want you,... wrapped in a (black) bow

I would put you, up on a pedestal
You've taken 'Dracula' out of my sight
I'm harmless as a newborn (wolf) baby
I might nibble your neck ... but I won't bite

We can have a chalice, filled with fire
We can share an absinthe hearth and dance floor
A night owl keeps asking me heartbreak's name
With your wink,... Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"

I've always had a darker side
Give me Halloween and some 'Poe'
It might be your 'Raven' tattoo
But I want you,... wrapped in a (black) bow

Lovecrafter, Spellcaster
Dreamweaver, Soulstealer

Labyrinthine

Sweet spot-electric,... when you enter the room
The world is yours,... I'm all yours to consume
Immerse me completely midst nightshade in bloom
Deadly kiss, absinthe of impassioned perfume

I'm feeling euphoric and sacrificial
For liaison-exquisite, sharp as a thistle

Labyrinthine, dangerously tender
You're contradiction, dominant surrender

Passively aggressive, control my desire
Shall epiphany pang with magnetic fire?
Strike ... unapologetic, epic empire
Ma fee verte,... wake me, make me inquisitive
Love come take me,... la petite mort, vampire

Sweet spot-electric,... when you enter the room
The world is yours,... I'm all yours to consume

I'm feeling euphoric and sacrificial
For liaison-exquisite, sharp as a thistle

(Can't get enough of you, can't get enough of you)
(Deadly kiss, absinthe, control my desire)
(L'amour viens me prendre, la petite mort, vampire)

Cinnamon

Want and need is a kiss
For you and no other
Cinnamon
And trembling, warm blood

Gossamer, shivering touch
Feel electricity
Push and pull
Spidering every vein

Cold, cruel, lonely fears
Fade, now, with covet
Reckon is here
Sure kindred, pure destiny

Want and need is a kiss
For you and no other
Hot blooded
Raw, real, awake, alive

Air-spun, endearing whisper
Flow with take and rush
Blush-hungry crave
Taste sweet, eternal love

Carpathia

Carriages knock atop the cobblestone
Mist rouses and horse manes wave like banners
The coach riders know I journey alone
They peer, passing gothic statues and lanterns
And as melodic hooves march on their way
The dark speaks, befallen starless display,
"Come home, Carpathia ... stay
This night, Carpathia ... stay."

Black horizons drape the October field
Streets are mazes where the candlelight shies
Shutters slumber closed and doorways are chilled
Where night birds perch, rocking prophetic eyes
And as the birds take flight to find the moon
He calls from lost depths of the darkly noon,
"Come home, Carpathia ... soon
This night, Carpathia ... soon."
