Kalopsia

We were new, love was new
You couldn't get enough of me
I couldn't get enough of you
Effort, interaction
You were interested (briefly)
Charade, well played, laid-attraction

I was beautiful
Everything was beautiful
A beautiful lie

Change, turn, spoil, sour
Your mood sped from adore to hate
Don't fumble excuse, kill the hour
Out of my misery
You suck the air from every room
Like a vampire (would-be)
(no mystery ... or stamina )

Oh, how I wanted to believe
Oh, how I wanted to believe

You were beautiful
Everything was beautiful
A beautiful lie

Someone else became exquisite
Your sudden, new, favorite high
More beautiful than you and I
A beautiful lie

You live a pattern of cold, flaccid imagination
Selling momentary beautification (oh, of love)
A beautiful lie

(what it takes to get someone ... is what it takes to keep them)

Winter Heart

As the snowflakes pirouette
How could I forget
Everything you said
Words come back at me
Flying in my face
Stinging and burning
Ice shards, thorned kisses
And love is breaking
(I can feel you slip away)

As diamonds sleep untouched snow
Grays keep ten below
Beautifully tragic
Winter magic bleak
Bittersweet-frozen
Our last memory
Bad destroyed the good
And love is breaking
(Can you feel me slip away?)

I wonder,... Winter heart,... in this cold wonderland
Can you feel me slip away?

Live With This

I wanted to light a candle for you
Instead, for love, I lit two
For your heart's return
For your soul to yearn
As once was
Then I watched the pillars burn
(to darkness)

I waited for you but you let me down
You were somewhere on the town
In the bustling lies
With the hustling eyes
As you wish
And I said quiet goodbyes
(final time)
(unrequited)

Tomorrow will come but I won't be here
It's my turn to disappear
And you can wonder and you can hunger
For what you had,... when it's gone
(feel ... unacknowledged,... settled on)
For what you had,... what you'll miss
(feel ... unsatisfied,... live with this)
Live with this

Love Blues

Time had froze over, dimmed by fears
Many, many depressing tears
If you could hear me now, you'd laugh
- With an icy expression cross your face
I gave way too much, like a fool
Love blues, paid my dues, you lived to be cruel
(love blues, paid my dues, your love lived to be cruel)

I've grown wiser with soulful eyes
Seen some youth go ... on you, unwise
You won't ever hurt me again
I could never be enough, good enough
I tried way too hard, like a fool
Love blues, paid my dues, you lived to be cruel
(love blues, paid my dues, your love lived to be cruel)

I'm done (wishing for caring views)
Chiseled out, sculptured as I choose
Sooooo ... moving on (learn), note to self
Don't find you in anyone else
I've wept my last, it thaws a pool
Tears at my feet, I wasn't only fool
You threw me away, Winter heart, too cool
Love blues, when alive ... your love lived to be cruel

Love blues
I'm done, I'm done
Let it be the past
Love blues
I'm done, I'm done
Let it be the last
Love blues

Your Apathy Was Here

I believed in you till the end
An end I didn't know would send
Buried built-up, freed resentment
Animosity fulfillment

You proclaim
I am the disdain ... in your eyes
Blackness welling
Sullen frown ... while you devise
A ... way
To ... betray ... me

I don't know why

You killed my faith, you chose avoid
You'll never know what you destroyed
Lethargic pretense gathering
Your last move, last stab, heartbreaking

You proclaim
I am the disdain ... in your eyes
Blackness welling
Sullen frown ... while you devise
A ... way
To ... betray ... me

I don't know why

Be-tray

Poison Love

It'll do until something better comes along
When the "had" grows old and thrill of conquer has gone

It's easy for you, to hurt, just because you can
Slipping away, falling through me
Tears like broken glass spill with sand
Time was temperamental and damaged from the start
Poison love relished wicked laughter with depart

You were never in the moment, whatever care
I was distraction, punch line waiting unaware

Your selfish romance danced as a demon beguiled
Smashing the hourglass, I stood shaken as you smiled

It's easy for you, to hurt, just because you can
Slipping away, falling through me
Tears like broken glass spill with sand
Time was temperamental and damaged from the start
Poison love relished wicked laughter with depart

Farewell to all you took from me
Farewell to all that couldn't be

A Slight Mind-Bending Experience

She knew
That he had been
Dishonest
Condescending
And cunning
(albeit secretive)
With such, very, very, bad behavior

And he knew
That she had found out
Oh, he wished for her to scream, in some, maniacal tempo
Or to breakdown, in an inconsolable state of weeping
Or slam the door, as she cursed him with her exit
He waited for anything
... to interrupt the sociopathic gaze before him

But it was a slight, mind-bending experience
She stood so very, very quiet
And he sat so very, very numb
As she slowly tilted her head and subtly grinned
In a most, unnatural way

Epic

Say what you mean, mean what you say
Not some tomorrow, my love and sorrow
For today

Because you play with surety
Because you seem confused and hurt with deny
Because as well as I could have you, I don't
No answers why, no trust and tie
We should try
(we should try)

Say what you mean, mean what you say
Not for never, my love and harsh sever
From halfway

Because you tease all my insecurity
Because you flirt and contradict
Because perfect as you could have me, you don't
Not blissful high, not the epic
So classic
(we could be)

July breeze, wind chimes
Gliding a sultry fix for Summer nights
Autumn gilt fingers
Feeling, finding snowflakes and Christmas lights
We can cite
(we can cite)
How love's worth the fight
Tell me ... we're all right
Show me ... we're all right
