Maze

How is it we've tried for close but end with far?
This and we've hardly challenged the odds to win
Maybe, the middle is where we made a start
Seems passion passed and we never settled in

You know so little, I try but answers bend
Around the corner, then they're gone and I chase
Lost, the hazy night is cold without your tend
No hand to guide, to assure reach and embrace

Shadows fall, hide and seek play beneath faint moon
My eyes are tired, as with every, heavy step
This laden path coils vague but its clear be soon
As exit's shown, its loss leads, none to forget

All I know is this tremendous love I hold
Wanted to give itself, entirely to you
But you wouldn't take, didn't want, didn't need
There's a hole in my heart, where chance could have filled
But whose course would only have this love to bleed

Oblivion

Unseen, unheard, you have unblessed
Uncare, undo, unfeel, take back
And I, spun to numb netherworld
Chasms of fire, unloved to black

I am a ghost, most broken soul
Hard reality delivers
Only few fragments spiral down
Gyring, abysmal slivers

Low, the Hell is vexed far from blaze
Ungrace, unaccept, Stygian
Every dream bids nightmare scream
Mid mind-bending oblivion

I am a ghost, dead to your life
We unbelong, unshare, unbond
What jagged shards are memories
Unwanted, unmattering,... gone

Flames do not surge upon a lake
Heart-whole purge was fatal mistake
I am condemned, this realm won't wake
Sunless, moonless and no unbreak
(and no unbreak, and no unbreak)

Compass

Black cloud towering me
Powdering down, through my bones
What are the knowns ... for those souls
- Discerning glass houses,
Where they cunningly throw stones

Some make their own screwed-up world
Strange gravity held my compass
But I don't want to be a part
(of that existence)
Oh, with my bare hands
- Punch a hole in the atmosphere
Settle the quiet, distant star
See everyone for what they are
Have it all ... made clear
Let go ... of all those
... that don't give a damn
Hold tight to the dear
And they hold me back
(would the sky stay black?)
(would shadow cast,... disparaging?)

Unsettled, uneasy
My thoughts weave twisted branches
Turmoil, my life matches
Will my mind ever rest?
- Peace say,... what are the chances?

Some make their own screwed-up world
Strange gravity held my compass
But I don't want to be a part
(of that existence)
Oh, with my bare hands
- Punch a hole in the atmosphere
Settle the quiet, distant star
See everyone for what they are
Have it all ... made clear
Let go ... of all those
... that don't give a damn
Hold tight to the dear
And they hold me back
(would the sky stay black?)
(would shadow cast,... disparaging?)

Love, come fight for me
Hold me together
While I fall apart
Love, take confusion
- From this odyssey
Banish the cracks that threaten end

Marionette

Toyer of fraught emotions
Destroyer without regret
Make me jump, (oh, how high?), paint my smile
Tug me, twist me, prance and pirouette

I followed you like a rag doll
- Your marionette, choked by strings
I gave you all ... I had, all I was
And lost myself, for your everything

It's so confusing
- The way I feel ... dead inside
Sever soon will snap
With recoil of what has died
Our love, our love, no encore
Collapsing spotlight,... fade out, the end

Watch me go, watch the fleeting memories
- Be enamored by the will for change
Strong enough to move on without you
- That must be a stunner, slice of strange

Dahlia Lullaby

Oh, out of sight, out of mind
No, I never had a chance
And I leave it all behind
Parting the past and future
To an orange tinseled sky
Loops of tangerine go down
Low, dejected thoughts must have their say
They did today ... and ... they did today

I'm sorry for believing
I'm sorry for young ideas
Blind love can waste perceiving
For selfishness, then repent
My discipline follows me
Hollowing ambitions hang
Floating, as wistful clouds stray
To an orange tinseled sky
Loops of tangerine go down
Low, dejected thoughts must have their say
They did today ... and ... they did today

You never knew me at all
What a sadness to defy
I uplift and free this carry
Floating, as wistful clouds stray
To an orange tinseled sky
Loops of tangerine go down
Low, dejected thoughts must have their say
They did today ... and ... they did today

(Goodnight, may conclusion ease heartache)
(Goodnight, may new dreaming mend with make)

Phoenix Rising

You so kept me spinning and reeling
And it took everything I had
To hide feeling
Even though you were slowly killing me

My hands were chained, my heart was twisted
And I knew what I would have to brave
To be lifted
From heavy path and aftermath to be

I had to give and prove
I had to see it done
To know deep in my heart
Trying bled till dying
And what remained was none

Your angry voice left me quite assured
What I had to do was before me
Oh, though obscured
Ruins lay jagged and unforgiving

From ground of burnt love, I rallied nerve
To push my footsteps, fierce into flight
What I deserve
Is the chance your attempt denied living

And dust swirled
Scorched by flame
Seared with blame
But just the same
Goodbye was on the wing
Upon my leave
Upon last time I'll ever hear you call my name

Last time was the last time I'll hear you call my name
Goodbye rides on the wing
There, it will always stay
With release to my back
A new horizon bursts
Far risen from the gray
